Jesse Johnson is a retired senior human resources professional with more than 30 years of HR experience to include strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and development, workforce planning, employee relations, employment laws and regulations and talent acquisition.
He served as the Director of Human Resources for the State Board of Pardons and Paroles from 2007 until his retirement in 2014.
Mr. Johnson is a State Personnel Administration Certified Grievance Hearing Officer and he is also a Certified Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.) Instructor.
He previously served as an adjunct instructor at a local college providing instruction in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Introduction to Business.
Before becoming a state employee, Mr. Johnson was employed by an international semiconductor and microelectronics company and conducted international business in Japan, Mexico, Malaysia, and Singapore.
He is a graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science degree, where he received a commission, through ROTC, as a 2ndLieutenant in the US ARMY Medical Services Corps. Following active military service, Johnson received a Master’s Degree in Management from the University of Arkansas.
Mr. Johnson has been a SHRM National member since 2007 and a member of Greater Henry SHRM since 2015.
Mr. Johnson is currently certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM-SCP Human Resources Professional. Since retirement he has continued his commitment to the Human Resources profession as a consultant.
